Digital Acceleration Manager (14 month contract)

The Digital Acceleration Manager is tasked with accelerating omni channel strategies across key brick & mortar retailers, unlocking growth through D2C, D2B and supporting acceleration at our pure play channels and New Route to Market

This role will be a key player in continuing the transformation of Mars Wrigley Dcomm, supporting Canadian ecommerce pure-play customer and omni customers.  Key accountabilities include translating the Digital 3-year strategic plan into action through developing, executing and measuring clear joint business plans.

This role will be accountable for the development of customer centric online growth plans that provide superior customer facing insight, including development and partnering with sales to deliver all omni channel content, promotions, activity and plans. 

 

What are we looking for?

  • University degree or equivalence
  • Experience in successfully managing key account in FMCG, Consumer Durables/Lifestyle or B2B.
  • Experience with the requirements of successful e-commerce.
  • Proven line management skills and experience of leading, engaging and developing talent
  • FMCG/Digital customer experience and ability to build compelling category and joint business plans
  • Strategic Account planning & analytical skills
  • Digitally savvy and contemporary knowledge of mass/ grocery retailer eCommerce business models
  • Proven ability to develop strong internal & external networks (e.g. senior levels)
  • Negotiation and selling skills
  • Well organized, creative, excellent time management, presentation, and negotiation skills.

 

What would be your key responsibilities?

    • Engage multifunctional partner associates to deliver financial and share targets for Digital.
    • Develop and execute joint business plans linked to the 3-year Digital strategy.  Responsible for customer loyalty and customer satisfaction.
    • Is the first point of contact & key expert regarding online customer leadership, therefore aligns and coordinate with his/ her peers as ‘One Mars’, reports key customer activities & results and shares market and customer insights with Management/Sales team and eCommerce community.
    • Develop, document and continuously measure against the strategic roadmap enabling DComm team to achieve goals. Perfect digital store & category development with key brick & mortar customers – partner with sales to:
    • Identify the opportunities for content optimization and improved shopping experience.
    • Improve shopper led navigation and search optimization within the customer online platforms.
    • Lead online test and learn opportunities – share with local and global teams
    • Work with Sales, Category and Sales Strategy to define annual E-Commerce BIG BETS to deliver annual targets across Canadian DComm Landscape
    • Consult account teams to build strong Lift Off plans, incorporate digital into JBPs & and partner in digital/omnichannel Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
    • Build digital muscle for account teams which includes on the job digital training, more formal training sessions, and development of various materials for the account and category teams.
    • Shared responsibility for the dCommerce account P&L and implementation of the activity plan, including but not limited to managing online sales plans and execution, brand and corporately developed sales & marketing programs presentation on retailer sites, coordination of digital marketing campaigns and best in class product presentation with dCommerce marketing & Digital Merchandising managers
